Update from Jama England, Apple Blossom President

 

Saturday, January 25 the stage at Manson High School was a rainbow of colors as the candidates for 2014 Manson Apple Blossom Royalty entertained the audience with their speeches, impromptu answers, and the finale dance boarding the "Lady of the Lake".  The theme for the festival this year is "Ladies on the Lake". 

 

Queen Hanna Ireland, Princesses Jessica Gomez and Perla Garcia were selected to represent Manson.  Kevin Amsden was the escort for all of the girls during Selection. Mike Steele was the emcee of this full program. The button winners are Ruby Garcia and Libbey Ireland with Libbey's design on the button. Barb Gallaher along with past chairs, Cindy Simmons and Geri Bloch, organized another successful Selection.

Message from President Jeff Conwell and meeting notice

 

Greetings from Manson on the shores of pristine Lake Chelan!

 

Winter is always a fabulous time to visit our great community. Enjoy our world class resort facilities at Wapato Point and neighboring Mountain View Lodge, dine in our delightful restaurants, enjoy wine tasting at our many wineries, and try your luck at Mill Bay Casino!   Take in our breathtaking views, walk the shores of the lake or take a brisk winter hike. It's all here waiting for you!

 

The Manson Business Association is working on some very exciting events and ideas for 2014!

 

Come and be part of the fun! We meet on the last Wednesday of every month and our next meeting will be on February 26th at 8:30AM at Mountain View Lodge.

President Jeff Conwell's message and meeting notice

 

Greetings MBA Members! We're off to a fast start for 2014! 

 

The MBA Board retreat was productive and energizing. We look forward to sharing the results of our meeting and the vision that came out of our time together. 

 

We also look forward to your feedback and ideas as we grow in 2014.  One thing we know, we have a number of ideas on the table designed to draw more people to Manson and help drive your business. Some of these events and ideas may require additional assistance. Please be thinking on how you might participate in just one of the upcoming events. Remember, together we succeed! Come to our next meeting to learn more.

 

We're also looking at opportunities to bring speakers and experts to provide ideas for growing your business in our unique environment in 2014. 

 

REMINDER- Our January Meeting has been moved to Wednesday, January 22nd at 8:30AM at Mountain View Lodge.  We look forward to seeing you there!

Manson Business Association elected a new slate of officers at their annual retreat on Monday, January 6th.

 

Jeff Conwell, owner of Green Dot Sub Shop was named as President.

Lance Farrar, owner of Troy's Pizza was selected as Vice President.

Kim Ustanik, owner of Mountain View Lodge was appointed as Treasurer.

Tom Addison, owner of Orchard Wood Ovens Pizza, remained on the Board of Directors

Doc Hoyt, owner of Doc Hoyt's Coffee Company elected to the Board of Directors.

 

In addition to the elections, Manson Business Assocaition Officers and Board memebers began work on several key initiatives in promoting Manson businesses and our community for 2014 and beyond with many new ideas and events.

 

You're invited to attend the next Manson Business Association Meeting on Wednesday, January 22 at 8:30 AM at Mountain View Lodge to share in the new visions and energy of the MBA.
